This is one of the better headphone adapters for the recessed port. They all pretty much work but if you look at the actual connector, it has 3 notches. 1 notch usually mean mono sound. 2 notches usually means stereo sound. 3 notches usually means Stereo sound and a mic. So with this adapter, you can use a wired stereo headset as well as your favorite headphones. Watch out for some competitors, they don't all have it. Thats why I consider this one of the better ones.
